Mourning the death of his mother, office drone Martin Carter seeks a new purpose within his monotonous soul-wrenching Social Administrative job. However after his last line of support is unfairly sacked Martin refocuses his gaze towards bloody revenge.
Drone is my biggest project yet, a short psychological thriller I wrote and produced.
It all started after I met someone who was incredibly knowledgeable in screenplay writing, and we workshopped an old amateur script I had lying around. I began picking up the nuances of detailed character building and emotional in depth story telling very quickly. I was having too much fun writing this screenplay, and after submitting it to be voted upon for my courses major film production module, it was met with resounding success.
I was the producer of this production and organised a large crew of 25-30 people, including a stunt coordinator, VFX supervisor and SFX makeup artist. Despite the ambitious scope of the project we captured the majority of what we needed.
The Project has now been finalised and is currently being submitted into film festivals. The final result was of a very high quality and include elements that I have not previously seen executed and integrated successfully into a major project in my course, Foley, ADR, VFX with an Animation Department and a 5.1 surround sound mix.
After the NDA’s of the festivals have expired, the final film will also be uploaded onto YouTube.
