I’m a film maker with skills in music,
sound, film and VFX. I specialise in sound
design and recording for film, and also
have a strong passion for music
composition.
Through my experience with sound and
music I have extensive experience in
post-production, with roles such as
editing and VFX creation. I’m quick to
learn new applications and I’m always
searching for new tools and software to
expand my arsenal of skills.
I was diagnosed with ADHD at a young age and witnessed the various ways it has sabotaged my life growing up as I had to fight an uphill battle to keep up with others in systems not designed for people like myself. However when I began discovering creative media avenues, all of the odds suddenly fell in my favour. Over the years I’ve noticed a trend where my creative projects along the passion and hyper focused perfectionism I put into yield results beyond expectations of the level I’m working within. My intention when I make things is never to try and impress others and over perform, but instead to achieve the encapsulating idea I envisioned within my head, so I can feel the experience it’ll provide. This results in myself manifesting the idea into a physical form with a high attention to detail. As a side effect others also respond extremely well to my projects to the point where I’ve actually been asked for more.
Knowing the impact this has on others, I feel a sense of responsibility to share those ideas in a physical form so others can experience the whimsical excitement I got when I thought of it.
I graduated from a Performing Arts Highschool in 2018 where I took part in drama, music and film, falling in love with the creative arts. Beyond high school film class I took part in a Cert III of screen and media Tvet course in 2017, and then a Cert IV and Diploma of Screen and Media in 2019 through Tafe. I then began studying a bachelor of Film Production from 2020 to 2023.
Music wise I’ve grown up surrounded by musicians, it seems to run in the family. I self taught myself guitar in 2015 to impress a girl, this led me on a music journey through my teen years until I eventually started getting lessons and performing onstage both at Highschool and at a School of Rock in Sydney. I certainly miss those days. It was amongst those times I began experimenting with song writing and composition and self taught myself how to write full songs from guitar to drums, piano, strings and lyrics with the intention of one day releasing tracks within a band.
Throughout my life I’ve always naturally fallen into positions of leadership, either forming groups or stepping up as a lead when no one else does. I’ve naturally learnt a lot about successful leadership and communication as a result. This ability to collaborate and coordinate amongst a team has always come naturally to me, in fact it took me a while to learn that many others have difficulties with it.
Amongst working with others you eventually need to deal with inevitable conflict, time and time again I often find myself taking the mediator role. I’m not sure whether its my patience or ruthless empathy, but I always struggle to antagonise others resulting in approaching conflicts and issues with individuals in teams with an intention to understand the situation, the root causes and a realistic solution that works best for the project and people involved. It takes much more effort, but results in much higher quality project results long term.
