The band was loosely formed in 2017 by 2 close high school friends who began writing music together, and since then have been chasing the dream of producing an album.
The musical influences and styles of the two initial members highly contrasted each other, one came from a background of hard rock, alternative and emo rock, whilst the other came from a background of psychedelic and progressive rock and after finding a middle ground creatively a new musical aesthetic was created which they both fell in love with, driving them to stay committed to this project for so many years despite life’s obstacles (high school, university and COVID).
The resulting music is a blend between the emotions and power of hard rock, alternative rock and the development and rhythmic experimentation of modern progressive metal whilst occasionally combining elements of post-rock’s ambience and the dramatization of cinematic scores. The sound has been described as a mix between Foo Fighters and Karnivool.
Currently we are grinding out rehearsals preparing for gigs and finalising the last few tracks and lyrics for their first album whilst educating and preparing ourselves for the recording stages of the album.
We are currently looking for a third guitarist to join the band, this is the last obstacle before we can start committing to full rehearsals and start gigging.
We don’t wish to sign up under a record label as we don’t believe the benefits outweigh the negatives in this modern age, especially since the recording and producing technology is widely available to those outside of the industry.
