Calm Down is a black comedy/horror about Glenn, who has ridden his cis-white-male privilege all the way to middle management mediocrity. When he is kidnapped and held captive by an irate “Karen” Glenn must try and escape. But when it’s revealed Karen has also kidnapped his only son, Glenn must try and out-wit Karen and save both himself and his son from a fate worse than death.
A major project I was invited onto to be the location sound recordist due to the reputation I developed at the campus I was studying film at. This project wasn’t a part of my course plan, but instead another trimester’s. During this project, I self taught myself how to use the Zoom F8 audio recorder. At the time it was the largest scale project I had worked on and my first taste of what the major’s at my film bachelor were going to be like. Overall this was an incredibly positive experience, which furthered my skills in audio more.
